DirecTV Now fixes Apple TV log-out issue with “we are listening” message
Streaming TV service DirecTV Now has acknowledged it has fixed a bug affecting Apple TV users that caused “excessive log-out issues that forced subscribers to frequently re-enter their username and password.
DirecTV Now’s parent company AT&T confirmed the fix along with various “performance improvements” in a splash screen message subscribers saw beginning Tuesday as they logged into the service.
It is not know how many customers experienced the log-out issue.
The language of the message saying “we are listening to your feedback” is not by accident. As of late, online complaints of various login and performance issues have plagued the service. Many have criticized the cloud DVR feature that continues to be in beta and still suffers from various problems.
DirecTV Now launched in November 2016 using the Apple TV app. The service has an entry-level package price of $40 per month for over 65 channels.
