PlayStation Vue now lets you watch four channels at once on Apple TV
Sony announced Monday that its PlayStation Vue app for Apple TV has been updated with multi-view support, allowing users to watch up to four live channels on one screen.
The new PS Vue feature for Apple TV comes just days before the start of NCAA March Madness, with the goal of letting sports fans keep an eye on all of the ongoing games or mix and match live games with news or other TV programs.
Until now, multi-view has only worked on the company’s own PlayStation 4 console.
The enhancement means users will no longer have to start from the beginning of a program each time they want to add in a different program. Additionally, Sports and News filters now have their own dedicated tabs, making it much easier for subscribers to find sports and news in multi-view.
Playstation Vue launched as an Apple TV app in June of 2015. The service broadcasts between 46 and 74 channels depending on the package subscribed to. PS Vue retails for between $44.99 and $74.99 a month with no annual contract. Sports packages start at $49.99 per month.
