Sling TV adds four à la carte channels

Sling TV has been one of the best values for digital streaming services for some time now, and they’re also becoming one of the most diverse. They start cord-cutters off with two package options at $25/month each, and these can be combined into one $40/month package with nearly 50 channels.

They then provide subscribers their choice of a la carte options—be they groupings or individual channels—starting at $5/month. That list of channels has just grown with the addition of four new options: CONtv, Docurama, Grokker and Here TV. Together, these channels add more than 2,000 on-demand options for our Sling TV subscribers.

  • CONtv ($5 per month) offers shows and movies for Comic Con fans, ranging from sci-fi, horror, anime, martial arts, cult, retro-cartoons and grindhouse to original series, including 80s movies like “21 Jumpstreet,” cult classics like “Night of the Living Dead,” and martial arts films like “Rumble in Hong Kong.”
  • Docurama ($5 per month) offers a curated collection of documentary films and TV shows, such as Academy Award nominee “Waste Land,” “Chasing Ice,” “Samsara” and “Gangster Empire.”
  • Grokker ($7 per month) offers on-demand yoga, fitness, meditation and cooking classes, taught by expert instructors, such as “Yoga Basics” and “Pilates Sculpt.”
  • Here TV ($8 per month) offers authentic, uncensored, award-winning LGBTQ movies, series, documentaries and short films like “Broke Straight Boys,” “Work in Progress” and “The World Unseen.”

It’s an impressively diverse collection that joins Sling’s current à la carte channels such as Showtime, UP Faith & Family, and NBA League Pass. Current Sling TV subscribers can sample select content from these new channels in “Sling Central” at the end of their channel guide

The Sling TV app is available for download from the Apple TV App Store. The service has been available on Apple TV since June of 2016 starting at $25.00 a month. For more information and to set up a 7-day trial, visit
