Apps aquarium 4k

What’s new for Apple TV, February 15th, 2018

We’ve got a huge roundup this week, due mainly to a slew of TV channel and streaming service updates. There’s also a gorgeous aquarium, Minions rushing about, legendary weapons for Warhammer 40,000, a way to relieve stress, and plenty more.

New Apple TV Apps:

  • Calm Sound Mixer Stress Relief – Over 100 quality sounds to mix into your own, personal, auditory nirvana. The app also offers a collection of meditations, affirmations, hypnosis, and mantras. If your stress is finance related, however, take note of the $9.99/month – $29.99/year subscription costs.
  • Aquarium 4K Ultra HD Video – An actual aquarium may look more realistic, but only just barely. And would it give you 20 options for themes? The weather report? Alligators? No. It wouldn’t. Trust us, this one is worth a look, and you’ll never have to clean it.
  • Fitter and Faster Swim Videos – No, not the human alternative to Aquarium 4K. This is a swim clinic app from Fitter and Faster Swim Tour. Improve your swimming technique with these lessons from people who are better at it than you are.
  • UFO Racer – “You have 3 UFOs to get as far as possible.” That’s literally all the app description says, which leaves me with questions. What’s my motivation? Am I being chased? How does this thing handle with the Siri Remote? Hey, app developer, hire a PR firm next time.

Updated Apple TV Apps:

  • Minion Rush – I still say these guys are nothing more than Rabbids knock-offs, but that shouldn’t stop you from playing this wildly popular (and well-develop) endless runner on your Apple TV.
  • YouTube TV – I expect we’ll see a lot of updates in the coming week. As for what’s happening with it now, YouTube TV gets eight new channels and a higher price.
  • Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade – Plenty of life and action left in this App Store “Best of 2015” award winner. This update to the action game—titled Vlorlath’s Grasp—introduces new daily challenges for rare Questoris Tokens and new tiered events for a chance to win legendary weapons.
  • LEGO TV – Watch your favorite LEGO movies directly on your Apple TV. Not sure how many—if any—star Frank Honey.

Updated Apple TV Channels:

This isn’t something we’ll report every week, but so many additional channels and streaming services received updates this week that we thought we’d list them. You know what you like, so click away.
