Smash Puck “designed with Apple TV in mind”
It’s hard to find good gaming news when it comes to Apple TV, so we like to highlight it when we can. Today, we’re doing so with Smash Puck, a new game from Semidome that was “designed with Apple TV in mind.”
You might think from the title that this is a hockey game, but that’s not the case. Semidome describes it as a combination of pool, pinball, air hockey, mini golf, and curling, but with the addition of magnets, portals, moving platforms, force fields and more.
If you’re having trouble discerning what that would look like, the promotional video helps to clarify things”
Apple TV may not have all the games you want, but here’s proof that it certainly has its share of unique ones.
Smash Puck looks fairly complex, but Semidome took Apple TV into account when developing the game. “Every decision from controls, to menus, to level design has been made with Apple TV in mind, and, best of all, it works perfectly with Siri remote that comes with every Apple TV.”
In addition to tvOS support, Smash Puck features:
- 120 handcrafted levels in 10 unique worlds
- An original soundtrack featuring 6 songs: Listen on YouTube for free
- iCloud sync so you can carry your progress over to the iPhone or iPad
And although it’s sad to call this a “feature,” the game contains no ads or in-app purchase options.
Smash Puck is available now for $1.99 in the App Store. For more information, visit semido.me.
