Square Enix brings Deus Ex, Tomb Raider and Hitman to Apple TV
Your Apple TV gaming sessions just became a little bit longer thanks to some big name titles from Square Enix. The company announced last week that Hitman GO, Lara Croft GO and the brand new Deus EX GO—the three mobile games that comprise the GO Trilogy—are now available in one bundle in the Apple App Store.
Even better for Apple TV users, all three games come with full Apple TV support. You can play the entire GO Trilogy in crisp HD while using the smooth control of you Apple TV remotes. The stylized looked good on the iPhone’s Retina display, but they look even better on your widescreen TV. The Apple Remote, however, isn’t quite as precise as a touchscreen, so some of the puzzle elements may prove frustrating when you find yourself hopping the wrong way.
The entire bundle is only $4.99 for a limited time, and will provide a few solid hours of entertainment. The replay value of the GO Trilogy isn’t very high, but the games are so easy to pick up and play that they make for a great way to show off what the Apple TV can do.
Hitman GO, Lara Croft GO, and Deus Ex GO can be purchased individually for $1.99 each as a limited-time offer, and if you’ve already bought any for iOS, you can grab them for Apple TV for free.
Looking ahead, Square Enix Montréal will be releasing a special behind-the-scenes GO series documentary in early 2017.
The documentary will commemorate the impact of the GO Trilogy, and tease what’s to come from the studio. For more information in the meantime, visit www.square-enix-montreal.com.
