Take your friends on a Word Hunt with Apple TV
Holiday parties are now in full swing and likely won’t be slowing down until the arrival of the new year. If you’re looking for something a bit more unique to keep your guests entertained this year, a new game from Papertank Limited may do the trick. It’s called Word Hunt, and it allows up to six players to connect to your Apple TV via their iPhone.
As the title implies, Word Hunt – A TV Party Game provides players with nine letters from which they must find as many words as possible. They’ve got 45 seconds to do it, and points are scored for every word found (double points for longer words). Points are added up over three rounds, and the player with the most points wins.
Because the nine letters provided don’t spell a word, there obviously can’t be a Christmas or New Year’s theme. It makes for better gameplay, however, as you won’t be getting repeat letters anytime soon. Also, it’s easier to draw words from a nine letter combo than from shorter words that are usually presented in similar games.
Joining the game is simple for iPhone users. Players simply download the free Word Hunt Companion app for iOS and boot it up, then point their phone at the QR code on the screen via the Apple TV app. Other players can join in via computer or Android device by visiting wordhunt.tv and entering the specific room code.
Word Hunt for Apple TV is available now for $2.99 in the App Store.
