What’s new for Apple TV, February 22nd, 2018

Alto’s Odssey and a whole mess of classic cartoons highlight this week’s new Apple TV apps. For updates, we’ve got apps to help you master a new skill, learn to fly a plane, watch a lot of tennis, watch a lot of video games, speak Chinese, and more.

New Apple TV Apps:

  • Alto’s Odyssey – A follow-up to the critically acclaimed Alto’s Adventure, Alto’s Journey stands-up well on its own and plays beautifully on the Apple TV. Check out our preorder coverage for more details.
  • VintOO Cartoons – Stream hundreds of hours of classic cartoons, including episodes from Popeye the Sailor, Looney Tunes, Betty Boop, Merrie Melodies, Superman, and more!

Updated Apple TV Apps:

  • Twitchy – Watch Streams on TV – Why waste all that time and energy playing video games when you can just watch someone else play? You do the same with football and bobsledding, after all.
  • Homecam for HomeKit – Homecam is the only app to allow you to monitor multiple HomeKit supported cameras live on one screen.”
  • – Enhanced navigation and faster loading means members can more easily access all courses from the subscription library. Learn technology, creative and business skills from right there on your couch.
  • Miao Mi: Kids Learn Chinese – 500 + ad-free, animated videos for young children designed to educate, entertain and empower, in Mandarin and English.
  • Trivia Planet – A Stunning Quiz Game for Your TV – Stunning? Well, maybe they mean visually now that it’s been updated with 4K support. Connect your iOS devices to your Apple TV and tap in to win.
  • Tennis Channel Everywhere – “Subscribe to Tennis Channel Plus and watch over 650 live matches as well thousands of on-demand matches.”
  • Super Kids Racing – “This game will give you chance to make your kids happy with your happiness.” Provided IAPs make you happy. You’ll need them to get more than one course and two cars.
  • Sporty’s Pilot Training – “… a comprehensive flight-training companion designed to make your lessons more efficient, more complete and more fun.” Because come on…you know you’ve had the fantasy of successfully landing a plane after the pilot is attacked by snakes all hopped up on pheromones.
