What’s new for Apple TV, February 28th, 2019

This week’s new Apple TV apps will help you learn more about the body, get with somebody, execute a body slam, and become a disembodied voice to a guy trapped in a room.

In addition, two of our most oft-highlighted games get significant updates. All this and more is directly below.

Prices provided below are accurate at press time. Free downloads are for the app only and may require a subscription or in-app purchases for full functionality.

New Apple TV Apps:

  • Gravitas Movies (free) – Over 1,000 independent movies and documentaries available each month, with a new movie added every day.
  • Love Destination TV (free) – My personal “love destination” is Cedar Point. If yours is more in line with romance and relationships, this streaming app provides love-related how-tos, lifestyle shows, documentaries, films, and expert resources to help improve your relationships.
  • Slam Mania (free) – An ’80s arcade-style wrestling game, complete with characters such as Jobber Joe, Chen Lee, Mad Moose, El Diablo, Kid Turbo, and Beardo.
  • Project LAB for TV ($9.99) – A handy reference for medical students, physicians, or patients seeking more information on their check-up results.
  • STAY: Are You There? ($4.99) – An interactive story in which you help a fellow escape a locked room in real time. Leave him alone too long and things may not end well.

Updated Apple TV Apps:

  • Shadowgun Legends (free) – The first-person shooter where it seems every update is major. This one brings you plenty of new legendary content, as well as a new PvP mode, new ways to earn gold, and the ability to play every mission in co-op.
  • Plex (free) – The popular media organization and streaming app has updated its Enhanced Video Player with live TV support, Slovak localization, support for deinterlacing videos, and subtitle/captioning settings.
  • Emoji Charades (free) – This clever party game for emoji typers/decipherers just got a lot easier for foodies with the new “Fast Food” pack.
  • DAZN: Live Boxing, MMA & More (free) – The “new way to watch fight sports” is now the only way to watch the next 11 Canelo fights.
  • Testflight (free) – Bug fixes and stability improvements for Apple’s app that allows developers to install and beta test apps on iOS, tvOS and watchOS devices.
