What’s new for Apple TV, May 24th, 2018

Included in the new Apple TV apps this week is a game that will become your defacto choice for showing off the Apple TV’s glorious 60fps capabilities. If you prefer, you can also play charades with emojis, get fit, find some new decorating ideas, or just sit around and watch people get high.

Prices provided below are accurate at press time. Free downloads are for the app only and may require a subscription or in-app purchases for full functionality.

New Apple TV Apps

  • Tranquility & Relax ($0.99) – Sounds to help you chill out, meditate and motivate yourself. New sounds are added weekly, and the app is 50% off to celebrate its launch.
  • Manticore: Galaxy On Fire ($14.99) – Yes, you read that right. $14.99. Totally worth it as you take down the galaxy’s most wanted criminals in 60fps interstellar dogfights.
  • DHF HomeFit (free) – An app that not only motivates you to move more, but guides you on how much mobility, strength, metabolic, and power training you need within a week.
  • High Times TV (free) – Your definitive source of all things cannabis…provided you live in AZ, AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MT, NV, NH, NJ, NM, OR, RI, VT, or WA.
  • Spot Network (free) – For everyone in the remaining states, here’s a series of streaming channels inspired by those who lead an active lifestyle. View original content from the world of action sports, fitness, travel, music, business and beyond.
  • Studio Bloom (free) – Empower yourself before, during and post pregnancy with workouts, stretches, and nutrition/medication advice.

Updated Apple TV Apps

  • Emoji Charades (free) – The only party game where it’s helpful to have a teenager on your team gets updated with two new trivial packs: World Tour and Fictional Places.
  • Houzz Interior Design Ideas (free) – The best design ideas for your home. Find, view and buy products, and even connect with home improvement professionals.
  • Athan Pro – Ramadan 2018 (free) – The app with “… the most accurate prayer times” is also the first Islamic application to offer the full Adhan with zero interruptions. Plenty of other features, too.
  • Babel – Stack Tower (Ad-Free) (free) – Kind of like Tetris if Tetris was played with a single column of dice. Success will depend upon your quick wits and your quicker thumb.
