AccuWeather goes live on DirecTV Now for Apple TV users

Just weeks after Weather Nation was dropped from DirecTV Now, AccuWeather is now live on the service for Apple TV users.

BESTAppleTV has confirmed the channel is available in all four of the DirecTV Now packages for Apple TV, from the Live a Little package at $40 a month to the top tier Gotta Have It bundle at $75 a month.

The addition by AT&T, the parent company of DirecTV and DirecTV Now, affects both services with the latter adding the channel in just the past few days. The live streaming network now carries two weather networks, including the Weather Channel.

AccuWeather has its own Apple TV app providing local weather conditions and forecasts, but it does not offer live streaming of the AccuWeather network.

DirecTV Now launched in November 2016 using the Apple TV app. The service has an entry-level package price of $40 per month for over 65 channels.
