The Hollywood Reporter reported last week that Apple won a bidding war for a new 10-episode scripted comedy series starring Saturday Night Live great Kristen Wiig, who will also serve as executive producer.

Amongst her numerous other writing credits and accolades are the bestselling novels PrepThe Man of My DreamsAmerican WifeSisterland, and Eligible.
