Apple turns Scrooge with no Apple TV Black Friday deal
With fourth-quarter earnings of $52.6 billion and streaming device competitor Roku today slashing the price of one of its most popular models by $20, Apple decided Black Friday to not discount either of its Apple TV models on one of the biggest retail shopping days of the year.
The mega-giant tech company released it’s “one-day shopping event” online with no discount on either the fourth-generation Apple TV or the top-of-the-line Apple TV 4K, the product Apple is calling “the blockbuster gift of the year”.
More than one-third of Americans are expected to shop today as industry experts predict Black Friday will be the busiest digital shopping day in U.S. history, bigger than Cyber Monday.
Last November, Apple discounted the Apple TV $25. In 2015, they had no discounts and the tech-giants retail stores were not even open.
So what discounts are there anywhere else on Apple TV? Virtually none. Our Black Friday story offers some alternatives worth considering.
