Carpool Karaoke season 2 to launch October 12

The second season of Carpool Karaoke: The Series television show is set to launch this Friday, October 12, Apple announced Tuesday.

The new episodes will debut every Friday with the second season available for free through the TV app on Apple TV and iOS devices. Season one was exclusive to Apple Music subscribers.

Based on a trailer, the new season of Carpool Karaoke will feature “Weird Al” Yankovic mated with Andy Samberg, Snoop Dog with Matthew McConaughey, cast members from Star Trek: Discovery, Jason Sudeikis with the Muppets, and Quincy Jones with daughter Rashida Jones, to name a few.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series is based on the recurring segments on The Late Late Show With James Corden and began on Apple Music in August of 2017. Apple bought the worldwide rights to the series in 2016. The show invites famous musical guests and others to sing songs with Corden whilst he is driving on a planned route, usually around the Los Angeles area.

Apple announced a second season of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” in February.

A few months after the end of the first season, Apple made all existing episodes available to watch for free on the TV app.
