Cast of Apple’s future sci-fi drama announced
The cast of the still unnamed science-fiction series by Battlestar Galactica developer Ronald Moore is starting to come together with the announcement of three actors.
According to Deadline, several actors and actresses have signed deals including Joel Kinnaman, who has signed on to play Edward Baldwin, a NASA astronaut, and Michael Dorman and Sarah Jones, who will play a NASA husband and wife.
Kinnaman previously played Takeshi Kovacs in Altered Carbon, along with Will Conway in House of Cards. Dorman played roles in Patriot and Wonderland, while Jones has starred in Damnation, and Alcatraz.
The show was created and written by Moore along with Fargo co-executive producers Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi.
The Moore sci-fi drama is just one of over 14 original television shows Apple has authorized. Apple has yet to explain how it plans to distribute its content, but has given the impression it is leaning toward launching a new streaming video service that might be bundled with other media content including music, magazines, and news.
