Condé Nast serves up Bon Appétit for Apple TV [update]
“Bon Appétit is where food and culture meet,” according to Condé Nast, and that meeting place is now on Apple TV.
Bon Appétit started as a food and entertainment magazine in 1956 and changed ownership a couple times before being purchased by Condé Nast Publications in 1993. It has since grown into an award-winning food lifestyle brand that covers food through the lens of cooking, fashion, travel, technology, design, and home. The magazine, edited by Adam Rapoport, is available for print and digital subscription for $15 a year.
Now available as a tvOS app, Bon Appétit for Apple TV provides streaming food content “… made by people who love cooking and eating more than anything else.” The app basically serves as a quick way to access and view the various series available at video.bonappetit.com, including Gourmet Makes, Back to Back Chef, and It’s Alive with Brad. Approximately 40 different shows are available across the following genres:
- cooking techniques
- entertaining and style
- restaurants and travel
Recipes and special technique videos cover everything from black garlic to arancini to pot ribs to gourmet Twizzlers, all presented “…with a modern lens.”
