DAZN launches ‘MultiView’ feature on Apple TV devices
The sports streaming service DAZN has launched its newest feature, MultiView, allowing subscribers to watch up to four live or on-demand events at the same time on one screen.
The new functionality is available on 4th and 5th generation Apple TV devices and can be activated by long-pressing the Apple TV remote and selecting multiple videos to watch simultaneously.
DAZN subscribers in the US, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy and Japan can use MultiView.
Calling it a “game changer” when a similar feature has been available to Apple TV users on the ESPN app for years, the announcement comes ahead of DAZN’s launch in Spain and Brazil, where its split-screen function will also be available.
“The new MultiView function will enhance the way fans watch sports,” said Richard Giannetti, DAZN’s senior product manager, who oversaw the project. “There are many concurrent live fixtures on the DAZN platform and giving fans the freedom to watch multiple events at once in an immersive way was a natural improvement for the product. We’re excited to constantly improve and create new viewing experiences for fans.”
