First on BATV: EPIX Now offers streaming to Apple TV

Apple TV cord cutters have a new option for their TV and movie streaming. Epix Entertainment has released EPIX Now for Apple TV, providing subscription-based access to a large selection of hit TV shows and movies streaming in 4K.

The service—which is available for $5.99 a month—provides instant access to popular series such as Get Shorty, Berlin Station and Deep State. Subscribers can also access hit movies such as A Quiet Place, Star Trek, and Transformers: The Last Knight. Thousands of movies and TV shows are available, all of which can be streamed on demand or downloaded to your Apple TV to watch offline.

Additional features include:

  • EPIX Now Cast – Take your viewing experience from your phone to your TV with a simple tap.
  • Curated Collections – Easily browse hundreds of titles expertly selected by our staff of movie buffs.
  • Advanced Search – Find content by title, actors, keywords…even crew members!
  • Queue and History – Access your list of titles to watch (and add them in-app), plus easily find what you’ve already watched to watch again.

A premium television network affiliated with the MGM Company, EPIX delivers original series and documentaries, the latest movie releases and classic film franchises for TV, on demand, and online access. The service began an effort to triple the amount of original programming on the network in 2018 and now provides “… more movies than any other network with thousands of titles available for streaming.”

The EPIX Now – Watch TV and Movies app is available now for free in the App Store. New subscribers have access to a seven-day free trial, after which they’ll be billed $5.99 a month to their iTunes account. The service auto-renews monthly unless the subscription is terminated at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

There is no integration with the Apple TV TV App at this time and no immediate indication there are plans to do so at this time.
