First tvOS 12.1 beta goes public

Apple seeded the first beta of an upcoming tvOS 12.1 update Monday to public beta testers just three days after releasing tvOS 12.

Notes are not included with the beta update, but bug fixes are primarily the focus of such immediate beta releases so soon after the golden master of an operating system. No immediate visual changes were seen after installation by BESTAppleTV.

tvOS 12.1 beta can be downloaded manually by going to the ‘Settings’ app on Apple TV, navigating to ‘System’, then to ‘Software Updates’. Apple TV can also be set up to receive beta updates automatically by turning on the ‘Automatically Update’ selection on the same screen and also selecting “Get Public Beta Updates”.
