Free Sling TV trial this Sunday; no credit card required

The a la carte streaming TV service, Sling TV, is offering a free test drive for new users on Apple TV this Sunday, October 22nd, starting at 8 a.m. EDT with no credit card required.

The Sling package being offered for the trial is Sling Orange, the basic tier which offers 30 live channels for $20 a month. The channels include including AMC, TBS, TNT, ESPN, CNN, Food Network, and Comedy Central.

The free trial does not include any additional channels or cloud DVR capabilities.

The offer runs until 3 a.m. EDT on Monday, Oct. 23rd, the company said in an online statement.

To sign up, go to sling.com/watchfree starting Sunday at 8 a.m. EDT to enter an email address and activate the free preview.

The timing of the free trial just happens to coincide with the Season 8 premiere of the highly popular drama The Walking Dead, which airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT/8 p.m. CDT on AMC, one of the channels included in the Sling Orange bundle.

The Sling TV app is available for download from the Apple TV App Store. The service has been available on Apple TV since June of 2016.
