Holiday hope that Apple TV to be part of Apple’s 4-day Christmas discount sale [updated]
UPDATE: Apple has announced their “four days of special offers,” and Apple TV is included.
There’s optimism that Apple’s new Black Friday sales strategy might include an Apple TV discount as the tech giants four-day shopping event begins November 23rd and a potential sneak preview web page goes live.
Apple has announced a worldwide, four-day online shopping event with a blank holding web page. Another web page is being seen by some as a ‘tease’ to what could be all or part of the discounts in store. Among the items listed include Apple TV 4K, iPhone Xs, HomePod, Apple Watches, and more.
Apple also sent out teaser emails to customers Monday letting them know about the upcoming sale. The ‘Apple Shopping Event’ will run through Monday, November 26, known by many as Cyber Monday.
The four-day sale is a different sales strategy for Apple that will extend through November 26. Historically, Apple has offered meager Black Friday discounts, leaving other retailers like Best Buy and Target to run various specials on items like iPhones, Apple Watches and more.
Just how big the offers and discounts will be will determine the popularity and consumer interest for the Christmas holiday season of 2018.
So far, similar discounts from other retailers this year have been in the modest 10 percent range, at best.
