LiveXLive re-launches streaming music festival-focused app on Apple TV
The streaming service LiveXLive has officially debuted on Apple TV promising access to some of the world’s leading music festivals and events with multi-day and multi-stage coverage.
The app, which has been available on Apple TV since last September, appears to have now revamped its service and is now officially promoting its planned coverage of seven different, upcoming music events as well as new features focused on social media interaction with users of the service.
This year, LiveXLive plans to stream live and previously-recorded programming from more than 27 music festivals and concerts across the globe with over 350 hours of live content and original programming.
Among the events planned for coverage include the Handout Music Fest later this month in Gulf Shores, Alabama, the Country 500 music festival in Daytona, Florida at the end of May, and the Rock in Rio festival scheduled for June 23rd to the 30th in Lisbon, Portugal.
LiveXLive plans on broadcasting music genres ranging from pop to hip-hop, R&B, EDM, and dance, to rock, country, and metal.
The app and the service are free. At present, the Apple TV app has limited archive content, much of it from JBTV, a nationally broadcast, weekly 60-minute music television show.
