NBA League Pass offering free preview starting today, including on Sling TV

The National Basketball League 2018-2019 season starts today and so does a free preview of all out-of-market games through NBA League Pass and Sling TV through October 23. Both services are available as independent apps on Apple TV.

NBA League Pass is an out-of-market sports package that allows its subscribers to watch up to 40 out-of-market games a week, not including games that are part of local blackout rules. Videos of the games come from local stations and regional sports networks.

The service offers full game replays for all teams, audio broadcasts of all live games, and virtual reality for select games.

Eligible subscribers on Sling TV will see the free preview channels appear at the end of their channel guide. Once the free preview ends, Sling TV subscribers can purchase NBA League Pass for $29 a month. With a subscription, customers get access to NBA TV without needing a subscription to Sports Extra. The same rate applies if subscribing through the NBA app, including the chance to buy an annual subscription for $200 a year.

Sports fans can subscribe to League Pass and watch through the NBA app or through the Sling TV app.
