Shhhh…FOX Now app adds 8 live streaming channels

Fox Networks Group has quietly updated its FOX Now app on Apple TV adding live feeds from eight different channels, including the two prime Fox Sports networks.

The update occurred around November 3rd with the addition of a local FOX affiliate feed, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, FX East, FX West, FXX East, FXX West, FXM, National Geographic East, National Geographic West and Nat Geo Wild. The local affiliate feed is only live during prime-time programming hours.

The updated app is divided into on-demand content of shows and movies and a live TV sections. The ‘Live TV’ section lists channels in a horizontal programming guide listed by the hour. The on-demand section draws content from all of the channels. Under shows, there are dozens of specials and movies from all nine channels.

The app requires users to set up a profile with an email address and password, followed by a login verification through a paid local cable, satellite or streaming TV provider. Fox Now also supports Apple Single Sign-On, which lets viewers enter their pay-TV provider login details only once per device in order to access their streaming apps.

The Fox Now app originally launched on Apple TV in March of 2017 and is the tenth most popular entertainment app, according to the latest Apple TV App Store rankings.
