Sling TV adds Newsmax & Free Speech TV

The live streaming service Sling TV has added the news channels Newsmax and Free Speech TV to its lineup, the company announced Thursday.

Both will be available for free to all Sling Orange and Sling Blue customers for the next three months. After that, the channels will be available in the News Extra package of channels for $5 per month to Sling Orange and/or Sling Blue customers.

Newsmax is an American news media organization founded by Christopher Ruddy and based in West Palm Beach, Florida. It launched in June 2014. As of February 2018, the network reached over 50 million homes. Its focus is moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes.

Free Speech TV is a non-profit American news and opinion television network which launched in 1995. FSTV is currently available in more than 40 million television homes nationwide. Its focus is moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes.

The Sling TV app is available for download from the Apple TV App Store. The service has been available on Apple TV since June of 2016.
