Sling TV adds premium channels for individual purchase
The live and on-demand streaming service Sling TV announced Thursday it is now offering a new selection of premium, on-demand channels for stand-alone purchase.
The new channels include…
- CuriosityStream – For $6 a month, the global, ad-free channel offers over 1,500 science, history, technology and nature documentaries, including series like “Stephen Hawking’s Favorite Places,” “DIGITS,” “Deep Time History” and “Ancient Earth.”
- UP Faith & Family – For $5 a month, the channel features family-friendly programming of over 1,000 programs like exclusive seasons of the drama “Heartland,” and various seasons of “Bringing Up Bates”, My Dad’s a Soccer Mom”, and “Growing up McGhee.”
- PANTAYA – For $6 a month, the service offers a large and varied selection of movies in Spanish such as films like “No Manches Frida” and “Everybody Loves Somebody.”
The new a la carte offerings are a first for Sling TV. They are now available as individual add-ons to subscribers of Sling Orange, Sling Blue, Spanish-language or international service packages.
Subscribers to any of the service packages can preview the new additions for free through December 13th.
The Sling TV app is available for download from the Apple TV App Store. The service has been available on Apple TV since June of 2016.
