Turn your Apple TV into an LCD weather clock

Clock apps are nothing new to Apple TV. Neither are weather apps. Pocketkai, however, may have just released the coolest combination of the two with LCD Weather Clock.

With just a few simple settings you can capture the functionality and simple elegance of an LCD wall clock with your Apple TV. LCD Weather Clock prominently displays the time along with the date, temperature (in °C or °F), humidity, moon phase, and more, including:

  • Current weather data for your location
  • Station name or the city
  • Weather symbols for conditions such as clouds, sun, rain, fog, snow, frost, etc.
  • Wind force/direction
  • Air pressure (mb, hpa, torr, psi, inchHg)
  • Sun, moon, zodiac, ISS, summertime

Although the faux LCD display is certainly the coolest part of LCD Weather Clock, it wouldn’t be functional for all features. As such, the graphics convert to a more functional layout when checking information such as the five-day forecast.

LCD Weather Clock is available now in the App Store for $0.99, with no ads or in-app purchases.

Where does it get its data from? This is important for accuracy. Some sources are better then others. (Weather Underground and Accuweather are the top two for accurate forecasts.)
