tvOS 12.2 developer beta adds independent, Siri video request feature with iOS 12.2

Apple seeded Tuesday the third beta of tvOS 12 to developers for fourth and fifth generation Apple TV devices with the ability to request the playing of multiple videos on independent Apple TV devices through iOS 12.2.

Paired with the beta developer release of iOS 12.2, tvOS 12.2, build ’16L5201d’, allows users to ask Siri to play separate music, movies, and TV shows on multiple Apple TV from an iOS device. Users can ask Siri to play a movie in one room, while music or a TV show plays elsewhere.

Additional but minor updates are also part of the beta. The updates are expected to remain in beta until mid-March before Apple’s March 25th media event, focusing on Apple TV and it’s expected streaming service announcement.
